CHECK YOUR PLAN FIRST

Installing an eSIM may start its validity period. Before scanning the QR code, check whether your plan starts on installation or on its first connection to a supported network.

Prepare your phone and details

  • Check compatibility. Your iPhone variant needs eSIM support and must be carrier-unlocked. Follow our phone compatibility guide.
  • Connect to stable Wi-Fi. The profile needs to download. Install it on the phone you will use during your trip.
  • Open your issued eSIM in Ease. Choose its card in My eSIMs. The details include Install with QR and Manual installation when setup is still available.
  • Check “Install before”. This is the installation deadline, not the number of days of internet access. Read more about plan start and validity.

Your QR and activation code grant access to the profile. Share them only with the intended recipient. Do not test the installation on someone else’s phone.

Option 1. Scan a QR code

  1. Show the QR on another screen

Use Save QR in Ease to save the image, then display it on your computer or another device you own.

  2. Scan and confirm

Point your iPhone camera at the QR and open the prompt to add a plan. Follow iOS instructions until the new line appears.

  3. Give the line a clear name

For example, “Ease · Türkiye”. This makes it easier to distinguish from your home line when choosing mobile data.

Apple covers scanning in its eSIM setup instructions. Confirmation screens vary between iOS versions.

Only have the QR on this iPhone? Use manual setup below. Both methods install the same profile: you do not need to repeat setup after either succeeds.

Option 2. Enter the details manually

Switch between Settings and your Ease card to copy the fields separately. Menu labels may differ slightly.

SM-DP+ address
The SM-DP+ value in Ease.
Activation code
The Activation code value, without extra spaces.
Confirmation code
If requested, use only a separately supplied confirmation code. If you have none and cannot continue, contact support.

ICCID, IMSI and APN are not activation codes. If you saved setup details as a file, use its separate SM-DP+ and Activation code values; do not paste the entire LPA string into one field.

Confirm installation in iOS, then configure your data line. Apple also describes manual profile setup.

At your destination, choose the data line

In Cellular settings, open the data selection and choose your installed Ease line. Check these three settings:

Mobile data
Ease lineInternet use draws from your travel package.
Data roaming
On for the Ease eSIMTurn it off for your home SIM if you do not plan to use that line’s data abroad.
Data switching
OffSo the iPhone does not automatically choose your home SIM for mobile data.

Look for “Allow Cellular Data Switching”. Apple explains line selection in its Dual SIM guide and roaming in its mobile data settings guide.

You can keep your home line for calls and SMS if your device supports that combination. Your home carrier sets their prices. Choosing Ease for data does not make home-line calls free; mobile data may pause during such a call.

Ease travel packages provide internet access. You do not need to transfer your phone number, replace your home SIM or choose the travel eSIM for regular calls.

Check that you are connected

  • Confirm you are within the plan’s coverage, the Ease line is on, and the plan has not expired or run out of data.
  • Temporarily turn off Wi-Fi in Settings and open a small web page. This check uses mobile data.
  • If it fails, check the selected data line, its roaming setting and the APN in your eSIM details. Do not substitute a random APN found online.
  • Try toggling Airplane Mode or restarting your iPhone. See Apple’s basic checks.

Refresh data in Ease checks the latest data balance and validity. It does not install the eSIM or add gigabytes; usage statistics can arrive with a delay.

Do not delete the profile to troubleshoot: reinstallation may be unavailable. Before travelling, a lack of signal does not by itself mean installation failed — check your plan’s coverage.

A few more answers

Can I install before flying?

Check the plan’s start rule and installation deadline in Ease first. If validity begins on installation, days will start counting before your trip. For plans starting on first connection, check the supported network and country.

Do I need to remove my home SIM?

Adding a travel eSIM does not require deleting your home line. The number of lines that can stay active depends on your iPhone model; if needed, turn an unused line off while keeping its profile.

Can I move the profile to another iPhone?

Do not assume rescanning the QR or automatic transfer will work. This depends on the profile. Check with Ease support before deleting it or changing phones.

The QR is rejected or there is no internet

Contact Ease support with your order number, iPhone model, iOS version, country and exact error. Mention whether the profile appears in Settings. Hide QR codes and activation credentials in screenshots.
